Oakland Park, Florida was a 2020 winner of the Childhood Obesity Prevention Awards, which recognize cities with innovative programs that encourage healthy weight for children through balanced diet choices and regular physical activity.   The awards are a partnership between the US Conference of Mayors and the American Beverage Foundation for a Healthy America.
